Everything you need
to know
Straight answers on pricing, engineering, timelines, and what it actually takes to get a metal building built in the Southwest. Can't find what you need? Call or message us directly.
01How much does a metal building cost?
Pricing depends on size, use type, insulation, doors, and site conditions. A basic 30×40 ft shop starts around $18,000–$25,000 installed. Larger commercial structures — 10,000 sq ft and up — typically run $12–$22 per square foot depending on specs. Our Metal Building Prices guide breaks down costs by building type with real project examples.
View pricing guide02Is the quote really free, and how fast do I get it?
Yes — completely free, no obligation. Most quotes are returned within one business day. Complex projects with custom engineering or multi-building sites may take 2–3 days. We'll call or email you with a detailed line-item breakdown, not a vague ballpark.
Request your free quote03What's included in the quoted price?
Our quotes include the steel building kit (primary framing, secondary framing, roof and wall panels, trim, fasteners), standard doors and windows per your spec, delivery to your site, and installation labor. Concrete foundation, permits, and utility connections are quoted separately — we can coordinate all of it or work alongside your GC.
04Do you offer financing?
Yes. We work with commercial lenders who specialize in metal building projects. Terms vary by project size and credit profile, but most qualified buyers can finance 80–100% of the building cost with terms from 5 to 25 years. Ask about financing when you request your quote.
Ask about financing05Can I customize the size, layout, and appearance?
Every building we deliver is engineered to your specs. Width, length, and eave height are fully configurable. You choose roof pitch, door placement, window count, insulation R-value, exterior panel color, and wainscoting. We'll walk you through options that make sense for your use case and budget.
06Are your buildings engineered for Southwest conditions?
Yes. All structures are engineered to local code for the state and county of installation — including Nevada, Arizona, Utah, California, and New Mexico. That means site-specific wind load (up to 150 mph), seismic zone compliance, and snow load where applicable. We stamp drawings with a licensed PE for every permitted project.
07What's the largest building you can deliver?
We've delivered structures over 100,000 sq ft. Clear-span widths up to 300 ft are achievable without interior columns. For very large projects we work with our engineering partners to design multi-span or modular configurations that meet your footprint requirements.
08Can I add offices, restrooms, or mezzanines inside?
Absolutely. Interior buildout — framed offices, insulated walls, HVAC rough-in, mezzanine decking, restroom cores — can be scoped and quoted alongside the shell. We coordinate with your mechanical and electrical subs or can recommend trusted partners in the Southwest.
09How long does installation take?
A standard 40×60 ft shop or garage typically erects in 3–5 days once the slab is cured. Larger commercial structures run 2–6 weeks depending on complexity. Lead time from signed contract to steel delivery is currently 8–14 weeks — we'll give you a firm schedule at contract.
10Do I need to prepare the site before you arrive?
Yes. You'll need a level, compacted pad or concrete slab per our anchor bolt plan, plus clear access for our crane and delivery trucks. We provide the foundation plan and can recommend local concrete contractors if needed. We'll do a site walk before scheduling the erection crew.
11Do you handle permits?
We prepare and submit the engineered drawings and permit application in most jurisdictions we serve. Permit fees are passed through at cost. Some rural counties require the owner to pull the permit — we'll let you know upfront and provide everything the building department needs.
12What if I need the building faster than your standard lead time?
We maintain relationships with multiple steel fabricators and can sometimes source expedited production slots for time-sensitive projects. Rush fees may apply. Call us directly at (702) 281-5231 to discuss your timeline — we'll tell you honestly what's achievable.
13What warranty comes with a Full Metal Buildings structure?
Steel panels carry a 40-year paint warranty and a 25-year rust-through perforation warranty from the manufacturer. Primary structural framing carries a lifetime warranty against manufacturing defects. Our installation workmanship is warranted for 2 years. We'll walk you through the full warranty package at contract.
14Are you licensed and insured?
Yes. Full Metal Buildings LLC holds a Nevada contractor's license (#0085432) and carries general liability and workers' compensation insurance. We're also a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB). Certificates of insurance are available on request.
15What states do you serve?
Our primary service area is Nevada, Arizona, Utah, California, and New Mexico. We've completed projects in all five states and maintain relationships with local subcontractors and inspectors throughout the Southwest. Projects outside this region are considered on a case-by-case basis.
