Custom RV Garages & Metal Shops Built Around Your Rig

Tall clearances, wide roll-up doors, workshop areas — built the way you actually use the space.

Overview

Your RV Deserves A Serious Home.

Your RV represents a serious investment. A standard storage unit doesn't cut it. Full Metal Buildings designs private RV garages and personal shops built specifically around your rig, your tools, and the way you use the space.

We engineer for tall clearances — 14 to 20+ ft eave heights — with wide roll-up or bi-fold door openings that accommodate Class A motorhomes, fifth wheels, and toy haulers. Add a workshop bay, utility sink, 220V outlets, LED lighting, and climate control, and you have a building that works as hard as you do.

Every RV garage we build is engineered to local code, delivered with permit-ready drawings, and finished to a standard well beyond a basic metal box.

Common Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

What clearance do I need for a Class A motorhome?

Most Class A motorhomes require a minimum 13'6" door opening height. We typically recommend a 14–16 ft eave height with a 14 ft door opening to give comfortable clearance with room for roof-mounted AC units and antennas.

Can I add a workshop to my RV garage?

Absolutely. We regularly design combination RV garage and workshop buildings — a wide bay for the rig on one side, a dedicated workshop with workbenches, tool storage, and 220V outlets on the other.

Do you build on residential lots?

Yes. We work with residential and rural property owners throughout Nevada, Arizona, Utah, California, and New Mexico. We handle the permit documentation for your local jurisdiction.

How wide does the building need to be for a 5th wheel?

A standard 5th wheel is 8'6" wide. We recommend a minimum 14 ft wide bay for comfortable entry and exit, with 16–20 ft if you want to work around the sides of the trailer.
