Metal Sports Facilities & Indoor Training Centers
Clear-span steel buildings designed for gyms, courts, batting cages, and full athletic complexes across the Southwest.
Overview
The Clear-Span Advantage For Athletic Facilities.
Indoor sports and training facilities demand large, unobstructed floor areas — exactly what pre-engineered metal buildings do best. Full Metal Buildings designs and supplies clear-span steel structures for gyms, batting cages, indoor courts, martial arts academies, CrossFit boxes, and full multi-sport complexes.
We engineer for the specific loads your facility requires — high roof live loads for suspended equipment, wide door openings for equipment access, and insulated envelopes that keep interior temperatures comfortable year-round in the Southwest climate.
From a 5,000 sq ft personal training facility to a 40,000 sq ft multi-court sports complex, we deliver permit-ready packages with stamped engineering and connect you with certified erectors throughout Nevada, Arizona, Utah, California, and New Mexico.

Common Questions
Frequently Asked Questions
What ceiling height do I need for an indoor basketball court?
FIBA and NBA standards require a minimum 23 ft ceiling height. We recommend 24–28 ft eave height for a full-size court to allow for lighting, HVAC, and comfortable play clearance.
Can a metal building support suspended batting cage netting?
Yes. We engineer the roof framing to accommodate suspended batting cage loads. Provide us with the cage manufacturer's load specifications and we'll design the attachment points into the structural package.
How do you handle climate control in a Southwest sports facility?
We design the building envelope for maximum thermal performance — insulated roof panels, insulated wall panels, and a tight vapor barrier. Your HVAC contractor then sizes the mechanical system for the conditioned volume.
Can I build a sports facility on commercial or industrial zoned land?
Indoor sports and fitness facilities are typically permitted in commercial and light industrial zones. We provide permit-ready drawings and can advise on zoning requirements in Nevada, Arizona, Utah, California, and New Mexico.
