Warehouse & Distribution Center Buildings

Clear-span metal warehouses engineered for distribution, logistics, and bulk storage — dock-high doors, tall clear heights, insulated panels.

Why Metal for Warehouses

Most competitors lump this into "commercial." We don't.

Warehouse and distribution buildings have specific demands that generic commercial construction doesn't address — dock-high door placement, truck court geometry, clear height for racking, floor load capacity, and fire suppression coordination. We design around your operations, not the other way around.

Pre-engineered metal is the dominant structural system for warehouses under 200,000 sq ft for good reason: clear spans up to 300 ft eliminate interior columns that restrict racking layouts, eave heights to 40 ft accommodate high-bay storage, and insulated metal panel systems provide thermal performance without interior framing cost.

Full Metal Buildings has delivered warehouse and distribution projects across Nevada, Arizona, and the Southwest — from 10,000 sq ft contractor storage buildings to 100,000+ sq ft regional distribution centers.

Facility Types

Built for how your operation actually works.

01

Distribution Centers

High-throughput distribution facilities with dock-high doors, truck courts, and clear heights designed for racking and material handling equipment.

Dock-high doors · 28–40 ft clear

02

Logistics Facilities

Cross-dock and last-mile logistics buildings with multiple dock positions, staging areas, and grade-level access for mixed fleet operations.

Cross-dock layouts · Grade + dock

03

Storage Warehouses

Bulk storage buildings for inventory, equipment, and materials. Clear-span design maximizes usable floor area with no interior columns.

Clear-span · Up to 300 ft wide

04

Cold Storage / Insulated

Insulated metal panel systems for temperature-sensitive storage. IMP walls and roof eliminate the need for interior framing and drywall.

IMP walls + roof · R-30+ available

FAQ

Common Questions

Standard pallet racking typically requires 24–28 ft clear height. High-bay racking systems (VNA, push-back, drive-in) may require 30–36 ft clear. We design eave heights to accommodate your specific racking layout and material handling equipment — tell us your rack height and we'll engineer accordingly.

A common rule of thumb is one dock door per 5,000–10,000 sq ft of warehouse space, depending on throughput. For distribution centers, we typically design 1 dock per 8,000–12,000 sq ft. We can model your specific inbound/outbound volume to right-size the dock count.

Yes. We use insulated metal panel (IMP) systems for both walls and roof — a single-component solution that provides structural cladding and insulation in one panel. IMP eliminates interior framing and drywall, saving significant cost while achieving R-values up to R-42.

Warehouse building packages typically range from $15–$28 per sq ft depending on size, clear height, door count, and insulation spec. Larger buildings benefit from economies of scale. Total project cost including foundation, site work, and erection varies by location — we provide detailed budgetary estimates at no charge.

For warehouses under 100,000 sq ft, pre-engineered metal typically delivers 20–30% lower cost and 4–6 weeks faster than tilt-up concrete. Above 100,000 sq ft the gap narrows, but metal still offers faster erection and greater design flexibility. We can walk you through a side-by-side comparison for your specific project.

We coordinate with your civil engineer and general contractor on foundation design and site work. Our engineering package includes anchor bolt plans and foundation loads for your structural engineer. We can recommend trusted civil and GC partners in Nevada, Arizona, and the Southwest.
